The Velo Orange There and Back Rack is a stainless steel cargo rack intended to work seamlessly on both the front and rear of bikes with the appropriate rack mounts. With the capacity to bolt on cargo cages or run panniers, this rack gives users a lot of versatility for future adventures. The Velo Orange There and Back Rack also features a built-in light mount, which is always a handy touch given how crowded things can get when loading up a bike.
The Velo Orange There and Back Rack has a generous 102mm x 270mm platform and a mounted height of 380mm. It includes 255mm straight and offset arms and is rated for 35 pounds of load. The rack also has two sets of three-pack mounts on either side. All said and done, the rack itself weighs 637 grams, comes in silver or black, and costs $165 USD.
I got to see an early iteration of the There and Back when I did a small bikepacking trip with Igor last summer, and while I’m not a big rack guy, I was certainly intrigued. It seems an incredibly capable, versatile rack that solves the issue of position-specific mounting, giving people more bang for their buck. These days, that’s all the more valuable.
