Just announced, the Veloci Plan Big V3 all-terrain bicycle features a more upright riding position, countless mounting points, and specs suitable for commuting or gravel and dirt-road touring. Check it out here…
Veloci Cycles in Taiwan just updated their Plan Big platform and announced the third iteration of this all-terrain bicycle. The Plan Big V3 is built around a double-butted 4130 Chromoly steel frame, quick-release dropouts, a matching steel fork, and specs that make it look like a solid option for gravel and dirt-road touring as well as a capable ATB or commuter.
The Veloci Plan Big V3 was updated with a higher stack height for a more upright riding position, although the company hasn’t yet released a geometry chart. We’ve put in a request and will update this press release when we hear back. Veloci also mentioned that the Plan Big V3 can run flat or drop bars, and the top tube is curved to provide some extra standover height to make getting on and off the bike easier. The Plan Big V3 nixed the mid-kickstand mount found on the previous version in favor of a side kickstand mount for added convenience. It also has top tube bosses, two sets of triple pack mounts inside the main triangle, mounts under the downtube, triple pack mounts on each of the fork legs, and bosses for rear and front racks and fenders.
Extra-small to small frames are based around 27.5 x 2.1″ tires, while the larger sizes have clearance for 29 x 1.95″ tires. The frame relies on external cable routing under the downtube and features a 27.2mm seatpost, 68mm BSA bottom bracket, and a standard 1 1/8″ steerer tube. It can accommodate a front derailleur and uses ISO disc brakes for the front and back.
The Veloci Plan Big V3 is offered as a frameset (frame and fork) in five sizes (XS-XL) and comes in one color option: Starry Maroon. It costs $670 USD and is available now from VelociCycle.com.
