Hawaii

Weekend Snapshot

Maui is famous for great road riding, but I was interested in how much dirt I could find. I ended up descending from 10,000 feet on volcanic pumice and some sweet singletrack before climbing 5,000 feet back up to get the car. This shot was just as I was reaching the summit observatory after a long day. I also found some sweet camping options for anyone looking for an overnight or weekend adventure on the island.

Magic silent winter nights far away from the crowds in the Chiemgau Alps. I was happy to have a hot tent and glad to have a fresh boiled egg in the morning. It’s the little things that a make a weekend unforgettable.

A quick sub-24-hour overnight roll into the backcountry west of Buena Vista, Colorado. The winter season offers a whole new experience on some of the Collegiate Peaks classic summer routes. This smaller overnight trip was just the beginning of some bigger backyard winter bikepacking trips to come!
