My good friend Skyler made the trip up to Powell River a few weeks ago, and a sunny weather window was all the convincing we needed to get in a quick overnighter. We left from my front door, followed old logging spurs to create new connections, and witnessed the destruction of modern logging practices. We got to our lakeside campsite early, relaxed in the sun, and ate way too many cheese-filled sausages. The next day, a steep hike-a-bike, led to a sobering descent down a trail called Civil Disobedience—something I wouldn’t ride fully rigid again.

Sierra de Quila, Jalisco, Mexico
By Manuel Aldana
Just completed an unforgettable overnighter adventure from Zapopan, Jalisco, to the breathtaking Sierra de Quila, a protected flora and fauna area. We tackled this journey on a monkey and a goat (a Surly Karate Monkey and a Crust ScapeGoat), exploring a scenic greenway that follows old train routes and stations through sugar cane fields with plenty of challenging climbs on gravel roads.
