Today’s Weekend Snapshot features another three reader submissions from our worldwide bikepacking community. This time, we follow along with folks in Poland, France, and the United Kingdom as they make the most of the summer conditions by pedaling along scenic local trails alone and with friends. See all three and share a shot from one of your recent getaways here…
Summer is slowly beginning to wind down here in the Northern Hemisphere, and our readers in Europe have been busy soaking in its long days while they can. We highlight three such people in today’s edition of Weekend Snapshot, which shares vibrant scenes from Poland’s Pomerania region, the charming Purbeck Hills in England, and the rugged Ardèche-Cévennes Divide route in France. Take a moment to browse all three vignettes below, then continue scrolling to find some related posts and a quick form you can use to share a scene from a recent ride.
Pomerania, Poland

During the weekend, my friend and I pedaled around the beautiful Kashubia region. Our route took inspiration from the local gravel race, Wanoga, and we added some places we wanted to see. In this way, we visited the most beautiful spots in the area, rode fabulous gravel trails, feasted our eyes on blooming lilacs, swam in the sea and lakes, slept in amazing sites, and ate local pastries. It was a successful extended weekend!
Ardeche, France

I just got back from four days of riding the Ardèche-Cévennes Divide loop. I chose this loop for my summer bikepacking trip because it’s close to home, and it surprised me by offering a complete change of scenery.
Purbeck Hills, Dorset, UK

It was a multi-activity weekend! I rode from the Purbeck Hills to Bournemouth via the chain ferry, stopping for a Tamiya RC car session with friends in the local woods, hence the setup seen here. From there, we rode to the New Forest, camped for the night, and joined The Woods Cyclery for their Sunday ride, which included camaraderie, #coffeeoutside by the beach, and some bog trotting. I finished the weekend off by riding home again!
Send Us Your Weekend Snapshot
We’ll be selecting three photos per week to feature in Weekend Snapshot. Send yours along for consideration, and if it’s selected, we’ll be in touch! Note: We prefer 3:2 ratio landscape-oriented photos.
