I set out to visit my neighbouring country, Estonia, accompanied by my friend Jaana. We booked a long weekend for our trip with a couple of tourist spots and lovely campsites. We found ourselves accompanied by a couple of thunderstorms, an American car parade in Haapsalu, two outdoor nights, one indoor night to dry our gear, mandatory hike-a-bike sections, plenty of coffee, muddy gravel roads, and fast rolling pavement. It was a great introduction to what Estonia has to offer.

My friend and I went on a quick overnighter in the southern Wind River Range of Wyoming. This was a shakedown for a bigger trip we have planned for later in the summer. I’m smitten by the “in between” country where the high, arid prairie transitions to the montane forest. We enjoyed lots of time in this transitional ecosytem on this trip.
