Anglesey, Wales

Weekend Snapshot

By Alex Mathewson

I just did a one-night loop of Anglesey, a small island off the northern coast of Wales. Wales never disappoints, and Anglesey is no exception. A really gorgeous part of the world and a fantastic couple of days with a friend.

My wife and I rode the White Rim in a Day on Thanksgiving weekend. It was our second time tackling the route, and we had a blast. Beautiful, crisp fall weather and lots of good snacks. Living in Grand Junction, Colorado, it’s special to be so close to such a great route.

Hertfordshire, England

Weekend Snapshot

By Graham Berry

An overnighter suggested in the late September sun became a reality on the last weekend of November. We met up after dark and cycled along the River Lee, navigating to our pub stop and refuelling before heading off into Broxbourne woods to make camp. Waking up at 3:30 a.m. before the expected rains, we broke camp and headed towards Epping Forest and the ensuing slop-fest!
