Kansas, USA

The gravel roads around Lawrence, Kansas, were in surprisingly good condition, with hardly any icy patches or snowmelt. We could have easily avoided this steep, snow-packed backroad, but we didn’t!
Wales, UK

I spent the night in an old Welsh slate quarry building, which I’ve used many times before. It was once a collapsed ruin, but over the last four years, I’ve spent time rebuilding it, so it’s back in use again. I simply rig a ridge line up and attach the tarp. I fully loaded up my Salsa Mukluk with sleeping kit, food, and a bag of firewood so I’d be toasty room during the Welsh winter night. A great time to clear the mind and soak in the fresh country air.
Minneapolis, Minnesota

Riding on frozen creeks is a special experience. Even better when there’s a mid river skinny, hot chocolate, frozen Nerds Clusters, and good homies.
