After many delays and cancellations and a very last-minute change of destination all due to some very wet and stormy weather this year, I finally got out for a bikepacking trip! I rode 66 kilometers on mostly gravel backroads from Edmonton to Miquelon Lake Provincial Park, where I spent three glorious outdoorsy nights for a much-needed break.

With my weekend unexpectedly opening up, I hopped on the train from Prince George to McBride for a last-minute solo overnighter in the Robson Valley. From McBride, I ground my way up an old washed-out forestry road toward a nearby peak with plenty of hike-a-bike. After a beautiful night near the alpine, I made my way down the bone-shaking descent. I reached the station in time to avoid the rain and catch the train home!
