We have another all-European Weekend Snapshot this morning, featuring reader-submitted photos from bikepacking escapades in beautiful Iceland, France, and Sweden. See them all and find a link to share scenes from your adventures here…

We’re back with a fresh Weekend Snapshot to start out the week. This time around, we join members of our worldwide community on their getaways along Sweden’s High Coast, across the Laugavegur Trail in Iceland, and down the Vis and the Herault Rivers in France. Find this week’s submissions below, then scroll down to the bottom of this post to share yours!

Hoga Kusten (the High Coast), Sweden

Weekend Snapshot

By Ola Söderlund (@alltidvilse)

I work almost all weekends, so for me, the weekend is during the week. This week, I managed a short getaway to Höga Kusten (the High Coast) in northern Sweden, to take my Kona Unit for her first bikepacking trip and my fist on a SS. The area is very beautiful with steep mountains, deep forests, all surrounded by the sea. I took two easy days of riding, with plenty of time to calm down, soak in nature, and take photos.

Laugavegur Trail, Iceland

Weekend Snapshot

By Greg Maino (@igmaino)

Fourteen hours was how long it took our group of five to ride, push, and carry our bikes the 55 long kilometers between Landmannalaugar and Thorsmork on the Laugavegur Trail last week. Was it easy? No. Did we often wish we had trekking poles instead of bikes? Yes! Was it worth it? Most definitely!

Causse du Larzac, France

By Julien Sales (@entredeuxcairns)

Even in France, there are some less populated places and paths that have been forgotten. In the Larzac, near the Great MTB Traverse of the Massif Central flow the Vis and the Herault. One river is very famous and the other one is a remote and tiny “why would you do that?” type of river filled with logs and other obstacles. In a three-day weekend, we managed to connect both for a bikerafting trip.

Send Us Your Weekend Snapshot
