In response to Cyclone Gabrielle’s devastation of New Zealand’s North Island last month, which killed nearly a dozen people and displaced at least 10,000, our friends at Wizard Works and Fairlight Cycles in London are organizing a prize draw in hopes of raising £15,000 ($18,500) for the Hawke’s Bay Cyclone Relief Fund, which is directly supporting those most in need.
Wizard Works co-founder Veronica was back home visiting New Zealand when the cyclone made landfall, where she was caught in the middle of the terrifying storm. Her hometown was one of the hardest hit areas in the country, and she had to be evacuated from the second floor of the house by boat after waking in the middle of the night to ankle-deep water that was steadily rising. Having seen and experienced the cyclone’s effects firsthand, she quickly launched the Wizard Works AllBlack Collection, through which the brand is donating 50% of sales to support New Zealand through the end of this month.
Open as of today and running until Tuesday, April 11th, the Wizard Works x Fairlight NZ Cyclone Relief Prize Draw is your chance to help the people of New Zealand and have a chance to win an incredible prize package valued at more than £2,000 ($2,500) in return. It features a one-of-a-kind Fairlight Secan 2.5 frameset, a full set of Wizard Works bags, and more. Find the full list of what’s included below.
Wizard Works x Fairlight NZ Cyclone Relief Prize Package:
- Fairlight Secan 2.5 frameset – fluro yellow with purple decals – any size
- Wizard Works Mini Shazam, Lil Presto, Mag-Neato and Keychain in AllBlack
- Hope headset and seatclamp in purple

Tickets for the prize draw are priced at one for £5, two for £10, or eight for £20. Because of UK laws, it’s also possible to enter for free by physical mail, but we strongly encourage you to support the people who will benefit from this prize draw by purchasing your entry. As a small contribution to get the winner excited for future adventures aboard their Secan, we’ll also be including copies of the two most recent issues of The Bikepacking Journal, our biannually printed publication. Entry for this prize draw is open worldwide, and shipping and duties are included.
