The new Zpacks Duplex Zip and Triplex Zip Tent are fresh takes on the brand’s popular Duplex design with the added benefit of zippered storm doors and magnetic door toggles. Check them out here…

Logan reviewed the original Zpacks Duplex tent and found it to be incredibly spacious considering its minimal weight. To summarize, it’s a trekking pole-style tent that can be set up with two optional poles or Zpacks’ Flex pole setup for a freestanding setup. Zpacks just added a Duplex Zip and Triplex Zip to their lineup, taking all the features from the originals but adding some key features to make them “even more versatile and user-friendly.”

The new Zpacks Duplex Zip and Triplex Zip are based around the same Dyneema Composite construction, mesh interior, and two-door design. What’s new is their zippered exterior doors (rather than toggles) and magnetic door toggles to keep the doors out of the way when rolled up. Both tents have dual peak vents, a symmetrical interior that leaves plenty of room for two adults to lie the same way, an 8” tall bathtub floor, and a required (but not supplied) eight stakes for setup.

The Duplex Zip weighs 577g (20.4oz), and the Triplex Zip weighs 664g (23.4oz). Both weights include guy lines, sewn-in linelocs, taped seams, and a stuff sack. They cost $699 and $799 USD, respectively. You can find more details on the Duplex Zip here and the Triplex Zip here.
