As discussed in the prequel video, gravel bikes can be perfectly qualified for bikepacking… as long as the intended route is made up of surfaces fitting for smaller tires, the rider has the right mindset, and a few alterations are made to the bike. In the follow up video, Neil breaks down his gear list in detail and goes over what modifications were made to the stock gravel bike he used to tackle a 640-mile trip on a mixed-terrain route through Minnesota. This ride was a mix of gravel roads, pavement, two-track, rail-trail, and a wee bit of singletrack.
