Our end-of-year overnighter is back for its sixth consecutive edition! Good Night 2025 invites everyone to slip away for a quiet night under the stars anytime between December 19–31. It’s hard to believe, but the Good Night campout tradition is rolling into year six. We launched the first edition in 2020 to bring folks together in spirit during a strange and challenging year, and it’s grown into a simple, shared ritual to close out each spin around the sun: one last overnighter before the calendar flips. As 2025 winds down, we’re again encouraging riders everywhere to pedal out for a low-key campout, solo or with friends, and greet the new year with tired legs and a clear head.
This self-supported challenge is intentionally easy to join: pick a night during the final weeks of the year, ride from your door (or somewhere nearby), and sleep outside. It’s about celebrating small adventures, touching base with nature, and saying goodbye to the year, whatever it held. For 2025, we’re keeping the window wide open from the solstice to New Year’s Eve. Rules
Rule #1
Camp out with your bike between December 19th and 31st.
No restrictions apply. Unlike the following years, we’ve opened up the event a little early, from Friday, December 19th, until the 31st (make it a New Year’s celebration, if you’d like!). We also welcome you to camp in your backyard, your porch, or wherever possible. Just make sure to follow rule number three below.
Rule #2
Keep it small and self-sufficient.
To keep impacts to a minimum, you may want to go solo or camp out in a small group. Carry everything you need, and keep it local. It’s all about maintaining our connection to the outdoors and reflecting on what comes next. Another idea is to meet a friend or friends from a nearby community at a rendezvous campsite.
Rule #3
Have a good night outside, and do it up!
Enjoy your night, preferably outdoors, but we understand if that’s not an option. Eat some good camp grub. Drink something tasty. Wear funny hats. Bring twinkly lights. Stare at a fire. Gaze at the stars. Reflect on the changes you made and the lessons you’ve learned in 2025. Toast something or someone. Leave No Trace. And so long, 2025!
Prizes
As a bonus, we’re giving away six great prize packs from our friends at Rene Herse, Rogue Panda, and Tumbleweed. Six participants will win one of these prizes:
Two lucky winners will get a pair of bags from Rogue Panda in Arizona: a Huachuca Hip Pack and Alamo Top Tube Bag, which can be made in matching fabrics (or not).
