The Japanese Odyssey is a group ride that starts in Tokyo and covers roughly 3,200 kilometers (1,988 miles) across rural Japan. It is a challenge in that it must be completed in 13 days. Last year at the first annual running of the event, photographer Eigo Shimojo captured this incredible portrait series of 21 participants. Here is each one with names and nationalities.
