Our friends from Overmountain Cycles and Fonta Flora star in Masters Of None, a short film that follows a group of Western North Carolina locals into the mountains surrounding Morganton. The film was supported by the 36 Hours in Kitsbow grant and was inspired by the camaraderie of a few good friends, each of whom brings their own skillset to the trip. This journey wasn’t about the destination. Rather, it was about the many encounters, roads, rivers, and shared times together. “Though we are all very different, our love for cycling is what brought us together, and what better way to enjoy this shared love than to travel together across the place we all call home.” Watch it below and find details on the route. Then scroll down further to find a few of our routes in the area.
“Us locals know there’s a special pocket of vast wilderness that never disappoints. It starts with a journey along a wild, scenic river and escalates to heights that put you in front of ancient wonders. Our mountains beckon adventure… you have to immerse yourself into the belly of the beast to find its gems.”
The Route
The route these folks took follows a chunk of our Wilson’s Ramble. It starts in Morganton and finishes at Fonta Flora Whippoorwill Farm.
