Thanks in advance for spreading the word!

Back in May, Dallas Mignano rode the Oregon Outback from Klamath Falls to the Columbia River. Along the way he captured a lot of footage and recently put together this compilation that offers a glimpse of what the ride is like. Find it and an accompanying photo gallery here.

Originally created by Donnie Kolb, the Oregon Outback links up a handful of must-see, but rarely visited parts of the state. The route starts in Klamath Falls, the southern-most full-service stop in Oregon via Amtrak, and uses a mix of dirt, gravel, and little-used paved roads to wrap up at the mighty confluence of the Deschutes and Columbia Rivers, some 360 miles later. Dallas Mignano and a few friends rode in late April 2021 and captured a boatload of footage from the trip. This is the resulting compilation from the expedition which provides a nice look at what to expect from this legendary route…

What’s considered by some as the best bikepacking route in Oregon, the Outback starts in Klamath Falls near the California border, and traverses the entire state on lightly traveled, mostly unsurfaced roads. This includes a slice of the route’s namesake area – the Oregon Outback – a dusty, remote portion of the state populated by not much more than coyotes and rattlesnakes. Find the full route guide here.
