Picking up where episode one left off in introducing brothers Morris and Felix Winby and their 1,000-kilometer ride between England and France, seeking unique audio to layer into the electronic music they make under the name eyeveyes, the second episode of Sounds from London to Lyon finds them in Paris and beyond.

They ride quiet gravel trails into the City of Lights, where they meet and stay with some new friends, enjoying a few days off the bike. After some rest, they leave Paris on freshly paved canal paths—ready for 2024 Olympics visitors—and admire massive cargo boats cruising up and down the Seine. The brothers also camp and record new music, unexpectedly play a set for a primary school dance class (which they say was a highlight of the trip), and pedal picturesque trails through charming countryside and villages.
Around the point in their ride captured in this second episode, Morris and Felix also discover a newfound fascination with resampling. Resampling is the process of playing sounds with a speaker in a space with a distinctive acoustic (such as an abandoned railway tunnel) and re-recording the sounds to capture their sonic interaction with the space. You can watch the fun, clever, and inspiring 13-minute video above.
