The companion video to “Nine Days on the Northwestern Ontario Rambler,” which we recently published here, Thunder Only Happens When It’s Rainin’ is a 10-minute video that follows friends Theo Kelsey-Verdecchia and Glen Quinn as they make their first attempt at riding the entirety of an 800-kilometer bikepacking route through the Canadian backcountry that Glen spent years planning and scouting. In addition to showcasing the route’s unique scenery, the video also walks through some of the logistics of taking on such a challenge and a provides bit of insight into Glen’s motivation for planning a route in this area and how riding there shaped his understanding of the region.
