Great route (thanks to Sarah Swallow and BIKEPACKING.com), great weather, and just enough legs and bike on the Sky Islands Odyseey (East Loop) in Arizona. While this ride challenged me physically and mentally, I can only imagine the grit that those who leave home behind and risk all for something better have.

The Scottish Highlands were calling again. I had some time off from work and decided to head up on a 300-kilometre adventure taking in most of the southern loop of the Highland Trail 550. The plan was to stay at Ben Alder Cottage on night one, Blackburn Of Corrieyairrack for night two, and a wild camp for day three on the West Highland Way. I had sun, fun, and calf-deep snow in places. The adventure ended with a multi-course dinner at The Real Food Cafe. What more could you ask for?

The photo only shows part of the bike, but it shows very well how much fun we had this weekend welcoming spring. First, an inspiring lecture by bicycle traveler Łukasz Majewski, then sunny screen prints and an escape to the forest to spend the night under the stars with a group of friends. Lots of adventures and experiences along the way.
