Mike Dion’s 2010 film Ride the Divide played a massive role in kickstarting the popularity of the Tour Divide and what it is today. Before media crews and photographers, the film captured the essence of the event, the challenges the riders faced, and the rollercoaster of emotions involved with tackling the now-iconic route along the length of the Great Divide Mountain Bike Route from Canada to the US/Mexico border.
Fourteen years later, Mike is revisiting the inaugural event with a commemorative re-release, Ride the Divide Returns. Crafted from more than 100 hours of unseen footage, it’s an entirely new edit with a unique perspective on the original event that explores untold stories and more. Ride the Divide Returns will premiere at a Double Feature World Premiere Festival on June 14th in Boulder, Colorado, alongside a live stream of the film for folks to enjoy around the world. In-person tickets start at $25, and the virtual streaming option starts at $15 and gives you on-demand access for two days once it’s live. Watch the trailer below, and then head over to RideTheDivideReturns.com to get your tickets.
