The 2025 Mason Bokeh, the brand’s fast and light aluminum gravel bike, was just released with updated dropouts, increased tire clearance, and a new color option to celebrate its 10th anniversary. Learn more about the Mason Bokeh 3.5 here…

The Mason Bokeh is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, marking an exciting milestone for both the model and the UK-based bike brand. According to Mason, the Bokeh is designed to be “competitively fast, lightweight, and agile, with an engaging ride quality, coupled with durability, dependability, and long-distance comfort.” There’s a lot packed into that claim, but we’ve seen it used as a lightweight gravel race rig as well as an around-the-world bikepacking platform by Mason rider Josh Ibbett back in 2017 when we met up with him.

To celebrate ten years of Bokeh, designer Dom Mason gathered up rider and customer feedback to release an updated version with thoughtful changes to improve the bike. “This is what it’s all about.” says Dom, “It’s what I call Ride-Driven Design – ensuring that every design decision I make is informed by riding and will help riders. For 10 years, the Bokeh has been so widely ridden and loved. Every week I receive emails from Bokeh riders telling me about their adventures. These are the people whose love of adventure cycling created the Bokeh. This new version is dedicated to them.”

The new 2025 Mason Bokeh 3.5 features their custom dropouts that are forged and machined in Italy, where they’re then welded into place by frame builders. The new Mason Bokeh uses a SRAM UDH rear dropout, enabling the use of SRAM’s Transmission series. The tire clearance has also been increased from 700 x 45mm to 700 x 50mm (650b x 55mm).

All other frame specs have remained unchanged, including Italian-crafted, custom-tubed Dedacciai aluminum tubing, the carbon Rangefinder AS fork with three-pack mounts, a standard 68mm threaded bottom bracket, and the complete selection of mounting points. The Bokeh uses flat mount disc-brakes, internal cable routing, and size-specific seat tube diameters (31.6mm or 27.2mm).

Mason put together an incredibly detailed overview video of the latest Bokeh, including the development story, history, and all the small refinements that Mason has worked into the latest version. Watch it below.

To help mark it’s 10th anniversary, Mason is adding a new “FilterYellow” color option alongside OpticGreen, SensorBlue and Sepia. This rich mustardy tone debuted with the Exposure and RAW hardtail, and is one of Mason’s most requested colors, so they figured it was about time the Bokeh received the same treatment. The 2025 Mason Bokeh is available with a variety of groupsets, wheels, and component options. Multiple versions of the Bokeh can be configured via the Mason website, or through direct discussion with Mason to create a truly custom spec.
