The GranGuanche is an off-road route across the Canary Islands in Spain. Pick one of three routes, ranging from 620km to 800km…
Granguanche is a bike route across the canary islands. Aimed to discover the archipelago’s ever-changing landscape and rich heritage, a chance to wander in the mountains, swim in the ocean and sleep under the stars. It’s a ride to the next ferry that goes island to island, east to west. The route is planned in three options for any choice of bike and terrain: rough off-road for mountain bikes, smooth unpaved for gravel bikes and tarmac for road bikes.
Riders can choose between three route options resulting in three categories and three final rankings:
TRAIL route starts in La Graciosa harbour and finishes in La Palma – Santa Cruz.
GRAVEL route starts in La Graciosa harbour and finishes in El Hierro – puerto de la Estaca.
ROAD route starts in Lanzarote – Mirador del Rio and finishes in La Gomera – San Sebastian.
