Mapping Bikepacking Routes in the Afghan Pamirs

We’re running a number of expeditions this summer to map up to six trekking and one bikepacking routes in the Afghan Pamirs—a remote, peaceful mountain range in Afghanistan. In 2021 we plan to publish a guide to support sustainable tourism in the region. There is plenty of great single track.

We’re looking for experienced bikepackers to join our team of up to seven people on the bikepacking expedition.

The expedition starts and ends in Tajikistan. It takes 6 days in 4WDs to travel to the trailhead in Afghanistan, after which we’ll have <15 days on the bike. We'll have a support staff, including the potential for packyaks and horses in the more remote parts of the expedition.
