A self-supported bikepacking adventure in the Taunus hills north of Frankfurt, taking in a mix of surfaces from paved lanes, gravel roads, cobblestone alleys, dirt trails and everything in between.
Taunus Bikepacking is a mixed-surface ride over 1,000 kilometres taking in all of known and lesser known sights of the Taunus region north of Frankfurt. It’s been carefully scouted for over six years, promising some of the best riding the region has to offer.
Along the way, you will find medieval villages, castle ruins, traces of the Roman Empire, plenty of shelter opportunities and lots of short, steep climbs. The terrain is demanding, while the paths are mostly not very technical. Taunus Bikepacking is best ridden on gravel bikes or hardtail mountainbikes.
