The 2023 Kona Sutra LTD was just announced, and while there aren’t any major updates since it took over for the ULTD, it comes in a bold Matte Turismo Olive colorway that we’re digging. Check it out here…
In case you missed it last year, the Kona Sutra LTD took the place of the Sutra ULTD that was released in 2020. The LTD version mirrors the ULTD, including geometry, mounting points, thru-axles, and clearance for 29 x 2.4″ tires. Logan spent six months riding the original Sutra ULTD (now the LTD) and described it as, “A bike that can carve up your local singletrack and is perfectly equipped for multi-day, mixed-terrain bikepacking.”
Nothing major has changed for 2023, but Kona just released a fresh new colorway called Matte Turismo Olive. The build kit appears to be near identical to last year’s. The only other difference is a $100 price increase, which unfortunately comes as no surprise these days. The Sutra LTD is still based around a fast-rolling 29 x 2.25″ tires, an 11-speed drivetrain, dropper post, and a Chromoly steel frame and fork.
The 2023 Kona Sutra LTD build costs $2,699 USD and comes equipped with SRAM Rival brakes/drivetrain, Maxxis Rekon Race tires, a travel-adjustable TranzX Dropper post, and enough bosses to mount all the cages, racks, and accessories you could ever need. The new paint job is called Matte Turismo Olive w/ Charcoal Decals and appears to be only available as a complete build, not as a frameset. Last year’s color, Gloss Metallic Dragonfly, is offered in both a complete build and frame/fork. Learn more at KonaWorld.com.
