2025 East Texas Showdown (and Slowdown) Podium

The East Texas Showdown is the first race of the Texas Triple Crown Showdown. With the addition of West Texas Showdown, this will be the first year we will be able to crown our first Triple Crown Showdown champions.

Over the weekend, 160 riders descended on the Bullet Grill in Point Blank, Texas, for the fifth annual East Texas Showdown. Riders came from all over the world, including 23 states and four countries to test themselves in the East Texas Piney Woods. It’s becoming tradition for it to rain on the first day, and this year was no exception. Day one was a total mudfest that tested riders’ resolve and their drivetrains. The mud wreaked havoc on the field, and our rescue drivers were kept busy for the first 24 hours of the race.

By day two, the blue skies were back. The roads started to dry out, allowing for riders to settle into their rides. Those who made it through the carnage of day one were treated to almost perfect conditions for the rest of the weekend, and our rescue drivers were given a much needed rest. After the rain subsided and the mud settled, the winners of the East Texas Showdown and Slowdown received their glory: a finish line with Patrick yelling affirmations through his bullhorn. Their race is over, but we hope the memories will never die!
