Just in time for warmer temps here in the Northern Hemisphere, Restrap has updated its entire collection of bar bags, in both its bikepacking and race ranges. Across the entire lineup, Restrap dry bags are now being made with a more durable material, and all of their handlebar holsters are being updated with a new GripTight patch, which is a strip of velcro that holds the bag in place before strapping it in. The GripTight patch is designed to prevent slippage while also making loading/unloading easier.
In the Bikepacking Range, the Holster Bar Bag is now the standard option, offering a 14L capacity, a harness-style design, and an additional bungee on top for lashing extra layers or gloves. The Rolltop Canister Bag is a modular top-opener that can be used as a standalone bag on day rides or combined with the Holster Bar Bag for additional carrying capacity. It features a waterproof construction with a 0.4L capacity and can also be used as a shoulder bag. The Holster and Canister bags can be purchased separately or as a package called the Holster Bar Bag Plus.
In the Race Range, Restrap added three new bag options, while the TT bar bag remains unchanged. The Race Bar Bag—Drop Bar dry bag has had some minor tweaks to make it a little easier to close, and there’s a new Flat Bar version with a double-ended dry bag and a smaller diameter for better tire clearance, offering the same 7L capacity as the drop bar model. All of Restrap’s bags are 100% waterproof and made in-house in the UK. See the price list for all of the new/updated bags below.
