The updated Panorama Taïga EXP 3 features a carbon or steel suspension-corrected fork, revised geometry to play nicely with various handlebar setups, and dedicated flat-bar and drop-bar builds. Find the essentials about this well-specced adventure rig here…

The original Panorama Taïga EXP was released in 2021 as a drop-bar alternative to the Taïga hardtail mountain bike. It shared most of the same specs but had tweaked geometry to accommodate the length of drop bars. In 2023, Panorama Cycles released the Gen 2, with increased tire clearance up to 29 x 2.6″, a longer front-end, and flat-mount brakes. We haven’t been able to test one yet, but the Taïga EXP looks like a super capable drop-bar rig and a solid option for bikepacking. We’re pleased to see the Taïga EXP lineage evolving with the new Panorama Taïga EXP 3.

2026 Panorama Taiga EXP

The new Panorama Taïga EXP 3 is still a steel adventure rig, but there are many changes to unpack. The most notable is the presence of two separate product pages for the drop-bar and flat-bar versions. They share the same geometry, but Panorama explained that enough people were asking for both handlebar options that they decided to offer them as standard options. The Taïga EXP 3 is still suspension-corrected, but it has been adjusted to work well with 120mm suspension rather than 100mm. It’s also still built up around a Reynolds 720 steel frame, external cable routing, a split rear stay for belt-drive configurations, and maintains 29 x 2.6″ tire clearance.

There are also two fork options: a carbon fork with three-pack mounts or a 4130 Chromoly steel fork with three-pack mounts and low-rider rack mounts. Both have dynamo routing, fender mounts, boost hub spacing, clearance for 29 x 2.6″ tires, and are color-matched to the Taïga EXP’s frame. Other updates include rear internal wire routing, a new sliding UDH rear dropout design, and a CNC-machined chainstay yoke.

The geometry changes are also quite substantial. Panorama has added a medium/large frame size and totally re-worked the angles across the entire size range. A quick comparison shows a 1.5° slacker head tube angle (now 67.5°), a steeper seat tube angle, a notably longer top tube/front end, and shorter chainstays. The reach is much longer on the Taïga EXP 3, likely to help accommodate the flat bar builds, and the stack is a little higher as well. It’s still not quite as long as the Taïga hardtail mountain bike we tested, but it’s not far off.
