Available as of this morning, the new Frame Pack Hydration Bladder from the Innovation Lab at Apidura is a 1.5L hydration bladder that’s designed to maximize water carrying efficiency. Shaped to be compatible with nearly all Apidura Backcountry and Expedition frame packs, the Frame Pack Hydration Bladder features a detachable hose that’s designed to route through the bag’s hydration port to your cockpit for easy access while riding.
A wide, roll-top closure makes refilling the bladder without removing it from the frame pack easy, and a large-bore hose, quick click connect system, and high flow-bite valve provide convenient hydration. Fill markings on the bag let you know how much water is left inside, and the included stability strap is designed to clip into compatible Apidura frame bags for added security on rough terrain.
Describing how the bikepacking-specific bladder came to be, Apidura product developer Betsy Seed said, “We’ve long been aware of the pain points associated with using a traditional bladder with frame packs and our experience with materials and construction techniques has now developed to the point where we’re confident in our ability to bring our vision for what a bikepacking hydration bladder should look and function like to market.”
The Apidura Frame Pack Hydration Bladder retails for $51 (£37/€42) and is available now at Apidura.com.
