Last month, filmmaker Ian J. Whitmore and friends traveled to Welches, Oregon, to bikepack through Mt. Hood National Forest and spend a night camping at Trillium Lake. Despite some rain, the group enjoyed a relatively carefree overnighter that included dinner up in the unincorporated community of Government Camp and drinks at Charlie’s Mountain View Restaurant. Ian put together a carefully edited video set to the perfect soundtrack that captures the spirit of the trip and serves as a reminder of the simple beauty of packing your bags and heading out for an overnight bike trip with friends. Watch it below, followed by some photos and a map of their beginner-friendly route.
