Continuing our latest round of giveaways, our 169th Collective Reward comes from the small team at San Util Design in Winter Park, Colorado, who are setting up one lucky winner with a set of their beautiful Mini Panniers or Light Weight Panniers. Find details here…

Colorado’s San Util Design has quickly become one of my favorite bag makers in the year and a half I’ve been using their bags. The tote bag founder Adam Nicholson sewed for me has lived in my commuter’s Wald 139 basket since last fall, and the beautiful waxed canvas Light Weight Panniers you might have spotted in my Kona Sutra review (linked below) have made their way from rack to rack on various bikes. As someone who appreciates San Util Design’s thoughtfully curated range of bike and everyday bags, I’m excited about the opportunity to share a set of panniers with one of our Bikepacking Collective members for Collective Reward #169, up to a $280 value for our randomly selected winner.

San Util Design Light Weight Panniers

San Util Designs Mini Panniers

The San Util Design Light Weight Panniers were made for loaded touring and off-road adventures alike. They’re simple, hardwearing, and won’t weigh you down or encourage you to overpack. The Light Weight Panniers can attach to just about any rack using vertical and horizontal daisy chains paired with three Voile Straps. They measure 10″ wide by 3″ deep by 12″ tall when rolled and have a 7.5L volume (per pannier) that can expand to around 12L when needed. The EXP200 version weighs 240 grams, and the waxed canvas version, as pictured above, comes in at 370 grams. A shoulder strap enables easy carrying off the bike.

Formally announced earlier this month, San Util Design’s Mini Panniers are a scaled-down version of the Light Weight Panniers. They were conceived for rides that demand a little extra carrying capacity but don’t require the full size and volume of their larger panniers. More specifically, Adam says he designed them for use on a ride of the Colorado Trail next year aboard his Transition Spur. They have a 4.25L volume when rolled but can fit around 7L of cargo when overstuffed. The Mini Panniers measure 8″ wide, 3″ deep, and 11-21″ high when rolled or unrolled. They attach via Voile Straps and weigh 227 grams in EXP200 or 339 gams in waxed canvas.
