For our 191st Collective Reward, we’re giving away three sets of Widefoot’s updated CargoMount cages in our winners’ choice of colors. Learn more about the small Colorado company’s clever and practical cargo cages and support us for a chance to win a set of three in assorted sizes here…
Five years after the CargoMount first hit the market, Widefoot announced an updated version of their lauded aluminum cargo cage yesterday that builds on the original design by making it more modular and adaptable than ever. The new Widefoot CargoMount features a clever bolt-on cargo foot they call the CargoNoodle and several other updates that modernize and streamline its design. As longtime users of Widefoot’s cages, we’re excited to be giving away three sets of CargoMounts to randomly selected members of the Bikepacking Collective for our latest Collective Reward. Our winners will receive all three sizes of CargoMounts in their choice of colors, including regular and mega-sized CargoMounts and a MiniMount, a nearly $150 value for each lucky member. Widefoot’s Colorado-made cages are available in black, silver, purple, and orange.
Coinciding with their launch yesterday, Miles tested and reviewed all three sizes, and he appreciated their flexible design, ease of use, and impressive versatility. The new CargoNoodle found on the regular and mega CargoMounts is a forward-thinking and user-friendly update that opens up possibilities for securely hauling everything from bottles to oversized bags, and it’s replaceable in the event of damage (once Widefoot has spares). The new cages also boast an updated mounting pattern that adds adjustability, including the option to mount them at an angle using the side strap slots. There are also mounting holes at the top of the cages, allowing the user to flip the symmetrical cage upside down or potentially add a second CargoNoodle should the unique need arise. You can find more details on the CargoMounts here.
The Widefoot MiniMount is a teeny, pared-down version of the CargoMount that sports the same adjustable mounting holes and strap slots but loses the lower CargoNoodle platform. It looks like a great way to take advantage of unused frame mounts to haul smaller items like spare tubes, repair kits, and the like. Learn more about the MiniMount here.
