Our 195th Collective Reward comes from Sklar Bikes in California, who will be giving away two pairs of their new PBJ Handlebars to randomly selected site supporters. Learn more about the latest bars and join the Bikepacking Collective for a chance to win here…
Released last month, the new PBJ Handlebar from Sklar Bikes is an aluminum riser bar designed to pair with their Performance Basket Jammer frameset. It has broadly appealing angles and styling that would suit a variety of bikes and rides. Miles reviewed a pair at launch and concluded that they offer just the right amount of rise and sweep to balance comfort and control on his Hudski Doggler ATB. Today, we’re excited to give away a couple of pairs, and two randomly selected Bikepacking Collective members will take home a pair in their choice of Black or Polished Silver, a $118 value for each lucky winner. Our fall member drive is in full swing, and if you enjoy reading the site but haven’t signed up to support us, please consider doing so.
The Sklar PBJ Handlebar sports a 40mm rise, 28-degree backsweep, 3-degree upsweep, and 112mm reach intended to put the rider’s arms and wrists in an optimally ergonomic position that still plays nicely with modern MTB geometry without a long stem. Adam at Sklar says it’s a great option for touring, rigid mountain, and flat-bar gravel bikes. The PBJ comes uncut at 795mm but can be trimmed to 725mm. It has a 31.8mm clamp diameter, a 215mm grip area that facilitates mounting accessories, and comes in two colors. To learn more, you can read our review or find details at SklarBikes.com.
