The Cotic Escapade is a steel all-road gravel bike with clearance for 650B x 47mm or 700C x 42mm tires, a matching carbon fork outfitted with anything cage mounts, and lots of options for racks, fenders, and bottle cages. The Escapade has been refined over five generations, with tweaks to the geometry and specs over the years, but it still exists as a versatile drop-bar bike that Cotic says “fits into your life as you need it to.” For 2022/23, the Escapade is being offered in a limited editing version with a Reynolds 853 front triangle instead of the standard (and heavier) Cotic Fe tubing.
Available in either a matte Lichen or Damson colorway, the new Escapade 853 will be a touch lighter than the standard version and are said to offer more compliance and comfort than ever before. For those looking to carry more gear, Cotic also offers custom UK-made wedge-style frame bags for an additional £55. The Escapade maintains their versatile Inside Out cable routing, which allows for fully external to full internal Di2 routing.
Cotic offers a number of different build options to choose from, in both 650b and 700c setups, as well as a rolling chassis and frame / fork only. Every bike Cotic ships is assembled to order for each customer, so there’s the option to swap parts around for anyone looking for a specific build.
