We ran across this clever custom rack by Clandestine designed to carry a front top-loading bag and reached out to learn more. Find all the details here…

I love seeing interesting handlebar attachment solutions that eliminate cable interference contact with the head tube. So, when I saw this custom rack from UK’s Clandestine (@clandestine.cc), I had to inquire. This rack was made specifically to hold the Wizard Works Mini Shazam bag on a customer’s bike built up for the Fasted 500, a Ramadan cycling challenge, which aims to get more Muslims out on their bikes. Clandestine Cycles Front Rack

Clandestine owner and proprietor Pi Manson created this rack by making a decaleur secured with a knurled brass dial so the bag comes off quickly and easily. Voilé straps go around the removable bar, and the main straps hook under the lower front rail of the rack.

“That means it’s totally bomber: no wobble or sway or sag,” said Pi, “but it’s still really quick to take off—undo the hand-turned knurled brass dial, and undo or slide off the front straps. There’s no interference with the cables too, which the mechanic in me likes.”
