Fauna Components just launched a four-piece cargo system designed to suit almost any bike. Their new Cargo Cradle system attaches to the steerer tube, reinforced by a small collar designed to make the attachment solid. Explore the details of this new cargo system here…
Operating out of Vancouver, Fauna Components initially gained some attention for its modular cargo cage. For 2026, they’re launching a Cargo Cradle made up of four distinct pieces that could allow almost any bike to run a dry bag at the handlebar position. Here’s a rundown of each component on the Fauna Components Cargo Cradle system and how it works.
Fauna Components Cargo Cradle
The Cargo Cradle is the key element of their new launch. It attaches to 1-1/8″ steerer tubes and needs 13mm of stack to properly engage. The cradle support is made of 5mm powder-coated 304 stainless steel and uses three M5 bolts for the cage attachment. Made in Vancouver with some imported parts, the cradle has a claimed weight of 340 grams and a recommended weight limit of 3-4 kilograms for off-road use. Despite being made in Canada, these ship for free worldwide. No tariffs or duties apply to US customers. The Cargo Cradle retails for $119 ($139 CAD) and includes their XL Cargo Cage body and reinforcing Kitty Collar.

Fauna Components XL Cargo Cage
The XL Cargo Cage is similar to the smaller variant that started it all, but is much larger. As one of the key components of the Cargo Cradle, it’s ideal for use within the system rather than as a typical fork or bottle boss-mounted offering. The XL Cargo Cage has a 185-gram body and an 88-gram foot, is made of 3 and 5mm powder-coated 304 stainless steel, and has tested for up to 6 kilograms of gear. The cage is 116 x 275mm, with the adjustable foot measuring 69mm. It attaches to the support via three M5 bolts. It’s also sold as an individual component for $65 ($79 CAD).

Fauna Components Handlebar Bag Support
The second largest piece in the Cargo Cradle system is the Handlebar Bag Support. As stated, it slides onto the steer tube like a spacer and requires at least 13mm of stack. There are two sizes. The smaller of the two is for stems under 60mm and the larger one accommodates stems over 60mm. Like the rest of the system, it’s made of 5mm powder-coated stainless steel and is fabricated in Vancouver. The shorter support weighs 133 grams, while the longer support weighs 153 grams, and both are rated for up to 6 kilograms. The Handlebar Bag Support is available as an independent component and retails for $65 ($69 CAD).

Fauna Components Kitty Collar
Finally, the smallest component in the system is their Kitty Collar. Made of CNC aluminum, the collar is included with the purchase of a full Cargo Cradle, but is also available as an upgrade if users buy the components individually. The collar requires an additional 8mm of stack, weighs 15 grams, and slots into the Fauna handlebar bag support, preventing the system from rotating or shifting under load. The Kitty Collar is specific to the system because of its slotted shape, but is sold as an independent component for $35 ($39 CAD).
