Bits & Bobs
New products that are worth highlighting but didn’t make the Dispatch…
Stem FCKR
Made in Czechia / 444 CZK at Pistovo.Flox.cz
The StemFCKR is designed to simplify headset and fork maintenance by eliminating the usual hassle of removing and juggling parts. Instead of balancing bolts and spacers on the workbench, you can place them directly into the built-in tray as you work. Remove the brake, drop the bolts in the tray, unscrew the top cap, loosen the stem and handlebars, and slide the stem onto the finger. Version 2.1 also has a handy groove to secure the brake hose or other cables, keeping everything neatly organized while you service the headset or fork.
Sea to Summit Evac Bikepack Dry Bag Set
$110 at Sea to Summit
The Sea to Summit Evac Bikepack Dry Bag Set includes two 3.7-liter waterproof bags designed for mounting on bikepacking cargo cages. Made from 420D ripstop nylon with fully taped seams and roll-top Hypalon closures, Sea to Summit claims they offer lightweight, compact, reliable weather protection. An air-permeable Evac CORDURA base allows trapped air to escape as the bags are compressed, helping create a tighter, more stable load. The set includes Stretch-Loc straps, and the bags feature abrasion-resistant panels to protect high-wear areas.

Seat Tube Bosses: Yay or Nay?
Bottle mounts on the downtube are pretty much standard these days, but seat tube bosses are more hit or miss. Some brands leave them off to allow for as much seatpost insertion as possible, while others have found clever ways to push the mounts outward to eliminate seatpost interference while still offering a place to mount a bottle. In our Kona LBF review, reader Micah M. felt “the lack of seat tube bottle mounts is a massive oversight,” while others have different thoughts on the matter. What do you think? Should all bikes have seat tube mounts? Let us know in the Conversation below.
