The new Kokopelli Twain-Lite is an ultralight packraft designed for pedalers and paddlers who need some extra room for gear, bikes, or a furry friend. It excels on lakes, calm oceans, and inlets. Check it out here…
Having a packraft at my disposal has been a game changer for mixing up rides and close-to-home adventures. There’s nothing quite like rolling up to a lake, blowing up a raft, and setting off on the water for a few hours. But, once a bike and some gear are thrown onto the boat, space gets taken up fast. The new Kokopelli Twain-Lite aims to address this issue with additional leg room for your gear or favorite four-legged friend. They describe it as “the new go-to flatwater packraft for multi-day adventures when you need just a bit more room.”
It features an 840D nylon reinforced TPU floor, Leafield D7 valve, and a 4.5” (11.4cm) removable tracking fin. Optional TiZip zipper is available to store gear inside your packraft for multi-day trips. The Twain-Lite excels on lakes, calm oceans, inlets, and flat, slow-moving water (Class 1). The new bow and stern profiles provide more efficient tracking and maintain speed on flat water.
The Twain-Lite has a load rating of 300 pounds (136 kilograms), a total weight (boat + inflatable seat + backband) of 9.9 pounds (4.5 kilograms), and a packed size of 16 x 8” (41 x 20cm). It costs $1,099 USD and is available now in Smoke Blue or Yellow from Kokopelli.com.
