Just announced, the new Aeroe Spider Pannier Rack and Pannier Receiver make it possible to run any type of pannier on an Aeroe Spider Rack system. Find photos, specs, and everything else you need to know here…

First announced as part of a Kickstarter campaign in 2018, the Aeroe Spider Rear Rack is a modular system that can be used alongside the included cradle to hold any dry bag or tent or integrated into a more complex system using Aeroe’s quick-release gear pods. What makes it unique is its mounting system, which requires no rack mounts or bosses. It simply clamps directly onto your bike’s seat stays, making it compatible with nearly any type of bike, including full-suspension mountain bikes. If you haven’t read it already, you can check our detailed review of the Spider Rack here.

Today, Aeroe launched a new version of their popular rack that provides the ability to run any type of pannier, a combination that wasn’t feasible via their standard Spider Cradle. The Aeroe Spider Pannier Rack uses the same seat stay mounting hardware but replaces the gear cradle with a tubular top deck to provide a place to attach your favourite panniers. The rack also incudes an adjustable lower pannier catch to keep the panniers from bouncing around. The diameter of the perimeter tubing on the pannier deck is 10mm (same as many common racks out there) to take the upper pannier hooks.

If you already have a Aeroe Spider Rack, Aeroe is offering a Pannier Receiver Kit that takes the place of the standard cradle and gives you pannier compatibility at a lower price point. Plus, the top deck can double as a platform for lashing extra gear or a dry bag onto. Check out the installation video from Aeroe below.

The rack has clearance for up to 3.8″ tires, and they also offer a fat bike version of their rack for clearance up to 5″ tires.

The complete Aeroe Spider Pannier Rack costs $169 USD, and the Receiver Kit will set you back $90. Aeroe offers free worldwide shipping, and they have dealers popping up all over the world if you prefer to shop in person.
