Just released, the new Wilde Waypoint Fork claims to be one of the lightest fully featured carbon forks on the market, complete with three-pack mounts, dynamo routing, and clearance for big tires. Find photos and specs here…

In 2022, Minnesota-based Wilde Bikes introduced its first carbon fork, the Wayfinder. It came equipped with three-pack mounts, internal routing, and a 1 1/8″ straight steerer tube. It was targeted at framebuilders who still like to work with lugs or use standard headtubes but was versatile enough to still work well with 44mm and tapered headtubes.

Wilde is back with another carbon fork offering, but this time, it’s based around a tapered steerer that matches up nicely with the Wilde Earth Ship gravel bike. It looks like a promising upgrade for any gravel bike with an EC34/44 or straight 44mm headtube that takes a tapered steerer. Known as the Wilde Waypoint Fork, Wilde also claims it’s one of the lightest fully featured carbon forks on the market–complete with triple-pack mounts, dynamo routing, internal brake routing, fender mounts, and flat mount brakes.

Waypoint Fork Specs

  • Fork Weight: 478g with uncut steerer
  • Tire Clearance: 700c x 2.1″ or 27.5 x 2.3″

The Waypoint shares almost all the same specs as the Wayfinder, including a weight limit of six pounds per side (using triple-pack mounts) and 20 pounds when using a front rack. The recommended max rider and gear weight limit is 250 pounds. The Wilde Waypoint is available now for $525 USD, and Wilde offers competitive OEM pricing for framebuilders, but you’ll need to reach out directly to learn more.
