Rapha just launched a full range of bikepacking bags, the Rapha Explore Luggage System, which features seven new releases built with durability and water resistance in mind. Find a quick look at the full collection here…
Yesterday morning, Rapha took another big step into the bikepacking world by announcing a complete set of bags that they say were “created for the rigours of bikepacking and adventure riding.” They’ve previous released various co-branded bags, but this is the brand’s first fully in-house launch. Find an introductory video below, followed by a quick overview of all seven bags in the new Rapha Explore Luggage System.
Explore Handlebar Pack
The Rapha Explore Handlebar Pack is a 10L two-in-one waterproof front roll and handlebar-mounted aluminum cradle system. The removable welded bag is made from 100% Nylon with PU coating and TPU coating and features a double roll-top closure system with an air-purge valve. It also features reflective details and an adjustable bungee tie-down. The rotatable handlebar mount clamp is compatible with 31.8 and 35.0 bars via included shims, reduces frame rub/cable damage, and enables multiple hand positions on drop bars. The total system weight is 510 grams empty, and it’s rated to carry a maximum load weight five kilograms. It costs $185 and is available in a single Vulcan/Asphalt color, as with all bags in the new system.
Explore Seat Pack
Reminiscent of Porcelain Rocket’s trend-setting Mr. Fusion but with a slightly different take on stability, Rapha’s new Explore Seat Pack features a 10L removable dry bag made from 100% Nylon with PU and TPU coating that tucks inside a cradle supported by an aluminum stay that rests against the seatpost to prevent sway. The bag sports a bungee tie-down on top, an air-release valve, and reflective details. Rapha says the pack is carbon seatpost compatible. The Explore Seat Pack 10L costs $210.
Explore Frame Pack
Designed to fit most traditional road and gravel frame geometries and available in three sizes (4L, 3L, and 2.5L), the highly water-resistant Rapha Explore Frame Pack provides dual-sided on-the-fly main triangle storage access to a single main compartment. It has subtle reflective accents and an overhanging flap to prevent water from entering the drive-side zipper. The large, medium, and small bags are priced at $110, regardless of size.
Explore Handlebar Accessory Pack
Pairing with the Explore Handlebar Pack, the 4.5-liter Rapha Explore Handlebar Accessory Pack is made to carry small essentials on and off the bike. It’s easy to attach to the Handlebar Pack to expand on-bike storage and can also be worn as a cross-body bag for hauling things like a wallet, keys, and camera. The water-resistant bag’s design features two zippered compartments, a stowable shoulder strap, and reflective accents. It measures 260mm x 180mm x 90mm and costs $85.
Explore Top Tube Bag
Lastly, the new Rapha Explore Top Tue Bag offers one liter of easy-access storage. It boasts one-handed opening, highly water-resistant construction, a covered cable port for device charging, and removable padded internal structure for additional protection of contents. It attaches via Hypalon-backed adjustable velcro straps, measures 220mm x 100mm x 45mm (tapering to 40mm), and costs $60.
