Previously only available on framesets and complete bikes, Sklar’s steel PBJ and SuperSomething forks are now available as standalone purchases. Take a closer look at both forks here…
The Sklar PBJ and SuperSomething both have their own thoughtfully designed steel forks that were previously only available when purchasing a frame, frameset, or complete build. Moving forward, both forks are available à la carte, meaning anyone can pick up a PBJ or SuperSomething fork for their rigid mountain bike or gravel bike. Both forks are made from Chromoly steel, with 1-1/8” steerers, generous tire clearance, rack and cargo mounts, and internal dynamo routing.
The Sklar PBJ Fork is a svelte, suspension-corrected 29er fork designed for bikepacking and all-terrain riding. Its 485mm axle-to-crown makes it a suitable substitute for 100mm travel or rigid mountain bikes, and it features modern specs like boost hub spacing (15 x 110mm), a 180mm post-mount brake, a 55mm offset, and clearance for 29 x 2.8”, 27.5 x 2.8”, or 32 x 2.5” tires. The PBJ Fork costs $280 USD and is available in two fun colors: Salmon Pink and Moss Grey.
The Sklar SuperSomething Fork has a 412mm axle-to-crown and 52mm offset, which should swap in for most modern carbon gravel forks. It has clearance for 700 x 55mm (29 x 2.1”) or 650 x 2.8” tires, 12 x 100mm hub spacing, a flat mount disc brake mount, and a 1-1⁄8” steerer tube. Like the PBJ Fork, the SuperSomething Fork has mounts for racks, cargo cages, fenders, and internal dynamo wire routing. It shares the same $280 price tag and is available in two colors: Atmospheric River and Golden Hills.
Both forks are available now. Find the PBJ Fork here and the SuperSomething Fork here.
