Introduced in June, the Business Fork from Sour Bicycles in Dresden, Germany, is a feature-rich carbon cargo fork that’s available as an add-on to their lauded Purple Haze frame or as a standalone option for the gravel bike of your dreams. Find photos and details here…

We missed it when it was released over the summer, but the crew at Sour Bicycles in Dresden launched a new cargo fork in June, and it’s worth shining some light on. Designed to accompany their Purple Haze gravel frameset, the Sour Business Fork looks like a welcome addition to the growing crop of carbon forks built to expand your carrying capacity.

Sour says they designed the Business Fork to have all the features, routing, and mounts that bikepackers need while still maintaining a sleek look, a goal they accomplished gracefully. In addition to being good-looking and feature-packed, the Business Fork was rigorously tested to receive EFBE Tri-Test certification—the first carbon cargo fork to have that honor.

Sour’s full-carbon Business Fork sports clearance for 700 x 55mm tires, clever internal dynamo cable routing with 3D-printed guides for front and rear cables, cargo cage eyelets on both blades, mounts for fenders and a front rack, and a tapered steerer tube. It has a 6mm fork crown hole for a rack or light and is specced for a FM160 direct mount front brake. The axle-to-crown length is 403mm, and it has a 45mm offset that would pair nicely with frames from many other manufacturers. Thru-axle spacing is 12 x 100mm. The maximum load for cargo cages is 7.5 kilograms (16.5 pounds) per side and 15 kilograms (33 pounds) for racks. It weighs in at right around 550 grams.
