SUFUR Prototype Bike Check for the Tour Te Waipounamu (Video)

Tour Te Waipounamu is a 1,300-kilometer bikepacking race spanning the length of New Zealand’s South Island. With technical terrain and several strenuous hike-a-bikes, the route poses a few gear selection challenges and requires careful attention to bike choice and specifications. In Joe Nation’s latest video, he chats with Rufus Wenlock, who provides some insight into how he configured his SUFUR prototype for this demanding race. Watch that below. Last summer, Rufus Wenlock lined up with more than 130 riders in the small town of Sežana, Slovenia, for the second edition of the Trans Balkan Race, a rugged 1,300-kilometer bikepacking race across the Balkans.
