Romania is a beautiful country. We rode from Deva over the Apuseni Mountains to Oradea and headed finaly to Debrecen where we returned home by train. In between, we encountered a lot of unrideable paths. Sometimes, it felt like a hiking instead of a bikepacking trip.

A weekend trip of a mountain bike and a gravel bike riding 285 kilometres from Narva on the eastern border of Estonia to the capital, Tallinn, following mostly the northern coastline. A lovely camp at a RMK campsite on the shore of the Baltic Sea just 60 kilometres from the capital.

An out-of-town buddy hit me up and asked me to take him on his first bikepacking trip. I gleefully obliged, and we met halfway between us with a plan to explore the redwoods on bikes. I also lent him my fat bike to use. Many wildflowers were in bloom alongside the old-growth trees. It was just the adventure we needed. I snapped this picture as we took a break next to a creek to refill on water.
