An overnight bicycle bash, Lost Sierra Bike Camp, was held in Quincy at the end of September. Riders from all over NorCal showed up with their bikepacking rigs, ready to roll into autumn. We climbed forest roads to reach Silver Lake, a hidden gem tucked beside the Buck Lake Wilderness in Plumas National Forest.

This photo was taken on the second day of the Hungarian Balaton Bike Derby by KLND (three days, 370 kilometers, 3,750 meters of elevation). A heavy rain caught me while I was climbing Köröshegy Mountain. With every slippery step, the sticky mud kept growing, and at the top of the mountain, my bike weighed around 50 kilograms!
