Idaho

A year ago, my new friend Tom Lilly contacted the website asking if anyone might be interested in joining in on a route scouting trip to the Sun Valley/Wood River Valley area in Idaho. He promised backcountry singletrack, big views, hike-a-bike, and terrain similar to British Columbia’s South Chilcotin Mountains. At long last, we recently got a small crew together to make the trip happen, and I’m so excited to share the route guide soon.
Norway

I have lived in Norway for almost four years and continue exploring it on two wheels. Last week, I headed out on a short trip through mountains, fjords, and stunning scenery. This photo was taken on the third day as I was about to start descending from 1,200 meters above sea level to almost zero to the beautiful village of Geiranger.

While having breakfast in Manali, a town in Himachal Pradesh, India, we made the sudden plan to bikepack to the trailhead of the peak we were about to climb, Mt. Yunam, at 6,111 meters (20,049 feet). We packed our bags and were off to Bharapur Tent Colony, where the trek started. En route, we intersected one of India’s most famous bikepacking routes, the Manali-Leh Highway. As we made our way to the trailhead, there were many water crossings, which sometimes required a little ingenuity to make it across.
