Designed for bikepacking, packrafting, and thru-hiking, the new Zpacks Plex Solo Tent is the company’s most lightweight fully enclosed shelter to date. Find details here…

Weighing in at just 13.9 ounces (395 grams), the new Zpacks Plex Solo Tent is made in the USA from Dyneema Composite Fabric and is their only sub-14-ounce enclosed shelter. The Plex Solo sets up with 6-10 stakes and a single trekking pole adjusted to around 52″ (132cm), and a replacement tent pole can also be used for us bikepackers. Like the other Zpacks tents I’ve tested, the two storm flaps can be opened or closed independently with a single-wall canopy that overhangs the bathtub floor. The Plex Solo has sewn-in 8″ (20cm) tall bathtub floor that measures 7.5 feet (2.3 meters) long and 38″ (97cm) wide at the center and tapers to 28″ (71cm) at the head and foot. This tent rolls up to about 5″ x 12″ (15 x 30cm) and comes with its own loose-fit stuff sack. Find the full specs from Zpacks, photos, and a video below…
