In this episode, we set off fully loaded with 30 litres of water and seven days’ worth of food for one of our most remote stretches yet: Tonopah, Nevanda, into the heart of Death Valley National Park. It certainly lived up to its scorching reputation. We went from the biting cold one day to shorts, T-shirts, and flip flops the next!
The harsh change in climate took some getting used to and slowed us down to a crawl for a couple of very thirsty days in Badwater Basin. We had just enough energy to climb back out of the valley before we headed east towards Las Vegas via the incredible Rocky Gap 4×4 road and Red Rock Canyon. You can see it all in the video below.
